VERSATILE DESIGN
The Brakimo, designed by Joe Flowers, is envisioned as a versatile survival tool, meant to act as a backup to a machete or as the primary camp knife. Joe Flowers, who runs the survival school Bushcraft Global, created the Brakimo to teach survival skills in the Amazonian jungle and beyond.
ROBUST TOOL
With a wide blade profile and TOPS' modified Scandi grind, the Brakimo offers excellent cutting and splitting capabilities. The tapered tip is ideal for precision tasks such as drilling holes, making it a multifaceted tool for various survival needs.
HIGH-CARBON STEEL
Crafted from 1095 high carbon steel, the Brakimo is designed for easy field sharpening. Extensive testing during the 2015 Bushcraft Global trip demonstrated that with proper care to keep it dry, rust is not a concern.
CULTURAL HERITAGE & EXPERTISE
The name Brakimo is derived from the Matis language, belonging to a tribe in Brazil that remained uncontacted until the mid-1970s. The Matis people's survival expertise in the jungle offers invaluable insights to those participating in Bushcraft Global adventures.
